taiwan: week 5, kavalan distillery and taipei amusement park

daddy's first day was a busy one, with us all squeezed into my cousin's car for a teahouse lunch, a tour of kavalan distillery (did you know Taiwan makes an award-winning whiskey?), and dinner overlooking yi-lan.  the girls got a bit worn out and grumpy, but daddy held up admirably :)

mmmm

sweet potato cubes to dip in syrup and shocked in ice water - warm on the inside and crispy sweet on the outside!

limes (and unfortunately not much else) were popular at dinner =p

we were the only ones in the dining room

the next day, we took daddy up hu tou shan, in much more enjoyable weather:

that evening, we took buddy and little miss to my aunt's house in tienmu (Taipei), while c and s stayed with ah gong, and ben and I enjoyed a kid-free night at the Shangri-La hotel..!!

little miss apparently had trouble getting to sleep, but was chipper in the morning
ah gong brought c and little dude in to meet us at the Taipei New Children's Amusement Park
at the ticket booth

it was a super hot day, and we spent some time in the shaded kiddie rides and the indoor arcade
