apologies for the picture deluge.. finishing up the week!
we booked a morning fishing trip on this boat:
| windy and chilly |
there's a three hour gap between the pictures above and below... during which everyone except ben and our kids fought off varying degrees of seasickness =p and the fishing was lousy to boot. I guess sometimes you strike out!
| happy to be back in the bay |
| sarasota |
of all the funny things, we ran into Ben's uncle at the harbor! he'd just come back from fishing too, with far better results ;-) that evening, we got to go on our date night, at the City Pier restaurant, located - believe it or not - at the end of City Pier =) too bad it was dark and drizzling, but the clam and mussel boil that I had was by far my favorite meal of the week!
Friday morning we were greeted by this:
| count those candles! ;-) |
miss L took the big kids down to the neighborhood marina, and came back with some of these heartwarming shots:
| making letters - I'm told that's a 'd', upside down |
| s and I caught up with them after his nap |
for lunch, we split up - the guys took the big kids back to city pier, while we ladies took the babies to a local market in search of some dinner items.

one last trip to the beach for the afternoon:
| I can't seem to resist these group shots =) |
| this guy let us get within a few yards |
| escaping =p |
| some double biking before dinner |
ben's birthday dinner consisted of crab and lobster cakes from the local market, roasted peppers and my first (and successful, I might add =)) attempt at homemade dinner rolls.
| birthday brownies |
| the top to the end table comes off =p |
| how many nicholsons can you fit in a barrel.. |
| one last bike ride before heading to the airport |
| such service after security |
| and we found our favorite people one last time =) |
alas, we had to say goodbye in the end, but we promised ourselves it wouldn't be as long before our next visit!
