taiwan, week3: taimall, bikes and beach

morning routine: facetime with daddy
a visit to TaiMall on the local bus, where the girls were excited to push the 'xia che ling' (the button that tells the driver you want to get off - what do you call those in English?).  the experience of city living and public transportation was fairly new to the kids, since they don't really remember Maryland and the metro, and that was limited to trips to DC.

this is little dude's new 'smile' face

buddy spent her tooth fairy money on brownie bites
genies in a lamp
noodle making

studying the menu

ah gong was a huge help feeding both the littles

Chinese lessons

our little ladies with their Costco samples

riding the incline escalator to the parking lot

later that evening, on the other end of the spectrum: raw chickens at the neighborhood market

happier at a bakery stand

first shaved ice

posing in the 'queen's seat' our local park
ah gong took us to xin wu, on the coast, to rent bikes and play in the water.  we ended up with one four-person cart and one adult-kid bike:

the tide was a long way out, and the kids had fun following the 'rivers' to the sea
