early december

lots of little guy and the Byron BRR-Fest, which lived up to its name =p

a rare mad moment

daddy (for unknown reasons) calls this his scha-nuck hat :)
we've really enjoyed living in our little town, and one of the reasons is the community spirit.  in early December, there was a weekend event called the BRR-Fest, with a dozen or more local businesses offering activities, free samples, carriage rides, even a very cold looking dude demonstrating his awesome chainsaw carving skills ;-)
ornament making and games at the bank

playing with the snow scraper prizes they had won

at the zoo for zoolights

since it was about 6 degrees out, we made one quick run through, waved at the owls and wolves, and took refuge in the craft building.

getting our tree at the lot next to the bakery

warming up by decorating cookies

horse-drawn wagon ride - the cold never seems to bother little guy!

games in the supermarket

ran into one of c's classmates!

playing daddy before setting up the tree

I guess it was so cold when we picked out the tree that we didn't notice it was quite lopsided - much fuller on one side than the other.  it fell over twice after we put it up - first time that's ever happened!  ben finally tied a few bricks to the back side, and it stayed put after that =)

Christmas is coming!
