august/september overview

so, if you want a quantifier on how out of it i was the second half of the summer, i can tell you that i only took 50 pictures in all of august and september combined.  to you non-shutterbugs, that might sound respectable, but for reference, from february i have 400+, and from may (including taiwan trip), 800+ =p

 

college reunion!

grandma and grandpa came to visit for a week in august, and ben put on his tour guide extraordinaire hat.  they did all kinds of fun stuff in dc, in baltimore, an overnight in ocean city, md.. all pretty much while i was asleep on the couch at home =p 

 



the one trip that i did make with them was to the battleground in manassas and on to a winery owned by a dartmouth alum in foothills of the blue ridge mountains.  i perched on a bench outside the visitor's center while the rest of them explored, so you'll have to pardon the long-distance shots =p

 

 

 

there was live music, and someone felt very expressive about it

i had bought these cardinals vs national tickets back in june for father's day, and come september, i managed to make the outing.  am i wrong in saying that the girls are the cutest cards fans ever? =)

we were glad to have a chance to visit with the Ms, some college friends back from africa for the birth of their 4th child:

and finally, the girls started a gymnastics class.  the same one c tried last fall without much success, but this time they've been quite happy going in together, and they've continued it in the winter term, so more pictures to come =)
