5:30 AM EDT - the girls woke up of their own accord, giggling and smiling, reminding us that there were NO MORE days till our trip!
6:30 AM - out the door to the airport
7:20 AM - goodbye to daddy, sniff, but friendly faces at the airport!
9:30 AM - in our seats, first flight
10:30 AM - transfer and long wait in the big apple = fun with friends =)
3:30 PM - asleep before takeoff, osaka-bound
10:00 PM - hello kitty somewhere over the international date line
3:00 AM - four awake kids, oh boy
we had to deplane and go through transfer security in osaka, change terminals, then reboard for a short 2 1/2 flight to taipei. by this time, i've lost track of what time it is where ;-) the girls finally fell asleep just in time to be out cold for landing. somehow our strollers got baggage checked, so we didn't have them through immigration or customs. they showed up just in time to make it difficult to push a stroller and a luggage cart =p but at the end of this 36 hour day, we found ourselves in taipei, with our cardinal bag, our lambie, our abigail bag, our backpack, our computer bag, our suitcases, and most importantly, our uncle pete =) so i'll call it a good day's work, and all's well that ends well! or maybe i should say starts well...
