birthday and late may 2

just before the end of the school year, little buddy had a joint birthday party with a classmate of hers who has a summer birthday.  they painted ceramics at Color Me Mine, opened gifts and had cake:

I was pretty impressed how they could cross without falling in - most of the time ;-)

they enjoy playing checkers.. for about 95% of the game, until someone has to lose =p

miss t presented each kid with a plaque with two adjectives.  truer words were never said about our buddy.  so thankful for a small class and a teacher who recognized the best in each individual!

early may 2

and a few that I missed from the first batch of early may..

during our house hunting trip, little buddy lost her first tooth!  she was rather traumatized by it, but managed to recover and smile for the camera ;-)

2 1/2 months

a real conundrum

we took a second trip up to Michigan for the home inspection, and little buddy's birthday fell on that weekend -

opening presents in the hotel room - the Fly Guy collection, as requested

a bit overwhelmed by the staff singing =p

daddy had the girls convinced that log was an alligator

unfortunately, little buddy was sick the night of her birthday, and woke up crying with a fever.  thankfully, it subsided in the morning - it's a terrible feeling worrying about your child overnight.  we promised her a re-do of her birthday though =)

 

the hotel celebrated its first year with fireworks, right outside our balcony.  the kids enjoyed it.. from the other side of the glass door =p
