early september

filling in some holes in the first half of September (betcha didn't know there were any ;-)).. a friend invited us to her family's farm for apple picking.  beautiful place and a beautiful day! 

she treated us to lunch in the barn afterwards, which has been converted to a very cool event center

let's not forget the little guy!  this would be him, pulling himself across the floor at 5 1/2 months, before he could even sit up for any length of time =p

we were invited to our first birthday party, a superhero party.  I made these two finger puppets:

 

the girls got to be princesses of course

these last two aren't great pictures, but I just loved looking out the basement windows, through the flourishing flowers ben planted, to all the greenery in the backyard and watching two munchkins invent endless ways to cross the monkey bars.  can you find them?
