september: g & g visit

gumpa gumpa came to see us right before school started.  we had fun enjoying the last bit of summer with them in our new place:

 we took a trip to the national eagle center in Wabasha, MN:

c was called on to volunteer during the talk, but she refused and little sis went up instead.  her wingspan was deemed 'mallard duck' ;-)

after church the next day, we walked around the mayo campus and downtown:

grandpa brought a roll of quarters to look for our last few missing ones out of great-grandma's book

and that brings us to the start of school, which is here, in case you missed it.  now all I have to do is make the transition from shorts and short sleeves to jacket+vest+down coat+hat+gloves+scarf+snowpants+boots ;-)  it's -8 out!
