we were so thankful that with all of ben's interview flights (30+? i lost count), there were only a handful that i had to book through dulles, the only DC airport not accessible by mass transportation. i don't know how we would have managed otherwise! after one of the last trips, ben suggested that we visit the extension air and space museum, a few miles from dulles:

we spent a glorious week in st. louis at thanksgiving. i slept and slept to my heart's content while the girls read, romped, played games, and all the precious, nameless things imaginative girls do with grandma and grandpa.

i think this was thanksgiving day. we went out to a park with a lake and a trail and fed the fish and searched for acorns and played at the playground:
naturally getting them to nap was a lost cause, so this happened while dinner was cooking:

we started a new tradition of keeping our thanksgivings on index cards in a decorated box all throughout the year, so after dinner, we read through the stack. i highly recommend it.. so fun to celebrate the many little graces that are easily forgotten months later.
i tried to do a christmas card photo shoot, but naturally, c was grumpy as all get out that morning, so i didn't get too many. luckily, there were enough sweet ones to make the card =)
