early november

of swords, snow and sequence..

plumb tuckered
whether it was school or the age or being tired from school, we had a real escalation in backtalk around this time.  c had begun saying some really hurtful things, especially when disciplined.  a friend reminded me of proverbs 12:18 - 'rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.'  so we did an object lesson:  a pointed craft stick makes a good sword when stuck through a Styrofoam plate ;-)  and when covered with soft, pretty tissue paper, the holes are hardly noticeable.

did it help?  i don't know =p  but since we're promised that His word never returns void, but accomplishes that for which He sent it, I figured it couldn't hurt.

an afternoon trip back to Lark Toys

making pumpkin pie - turned out well, but also turned out that no one really likes pumpkin pie around here =p
