we spent a lot of our last two weeks catching up with people one last time, some of whom we hadn't seen in far too long.  it's an unfortunate truth that you don't appreciate what you have until it's threatened.  take that as a reminder to make that extra effort to enjoy friendships where you are right now!

i'm convinced children just see more of the world than we adults do.  we've learned to ignore so many details that they notice.  who would have thought this cabinet was full of holes clearly just right for hanging ribbons? =p
