besides the hours of 9-11 pm though, we enjoyed each other's company ;-)
don't mind me, just a little foot-washing ;-)
none shall pass!
we tagged along to lunch with some of their church friends:
always the star of the show =)
on saturday night, p and a few friends played at a coffeehouse in xi men (did i mention i have a multi-talented brother? =) ). apparently that's the young people, happening part of town, lit up in times square fashion. the room was packed by the time we got there, so we sat right up front despite considerable decibels. it was so fun to watch them make music! having next to no knowledge of popular music, playing covers is something i've never been able to do. hmm, i suppose playing classical does have some of the same benefits (i.e. built-in shared repertoire), now that i think about it, but i guess i've never been an accomplished enough classicist to enjoy it. food for thought..
k slept through most of it, actually
headed home
a long night =)
